In 1999 a new fun tradition started with Art in Avila at the Governor's Palace, an initiative of Mrs. Marguerite Saleh, wife of the then Governor Mr. Jaime Saleh of the Netherlands Antilles.

This year the festival starts on Tuesday, January 22 at 6 pm in the afternoon with an ALL BEETHOVEN program then the public wil be able to meet the musicians and enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace.

A concert with alternating short pieces for solo, duo, trio and quartet will be offered at the beautiful reception hall of the palace of the Governor of Curaçao in Fort Amsterdam on Saturday, January 26 starting at 5 pm. After the concert the acting Governor Mr. Adele van der Pluijm-Vrede will offer a drink in the garden of the palace.

The series will conclude on Sunday, January 27 at 11 am with a coffee concert at La Belle Alliance with a festive OPUS ONE program, beginning with Mozart's Piano Quartet K.478, followed by Dvořák Piano Quartet Op. 87.
