Case Wernet adjourned

Marlon-WernetWILLEMSTAD - The lawsuit of the Chief of Police that was supposed to take place yesterday was adjourned. The lawyer representing the Minister of Justice asked for a postponement so that he can better prepare for the case. The judge honored his request and the case was postponed until further date.

Mr. Wernet will be informed about a new date within two times 24 hours.

Wernet was sent home on mandatory leave after the prisoner Luigi Florentina alias Pretu, committed suicide in his cell in Barber. Pretu was suspected of involvement in the murder of politician Helmin Wiels. Wernet disagrees with the decision of the Minister of Justice, Nelson Navarro and wants to go back to work.
