Court: case-Magnus takes place in courthouse

Court houseWILLEMSTAD - The Common Court of Justice stated in a press release that the case-Magnus will be held in the courthouse in downtown. This despite objections from various organizations include the party of Justice Minister Nelson Navarro, PAIS.

The process will be held from August 4 to 8. The Court announced that it will take safety precautions around the courthouse. Due to the limited capacity of the courtroom only relatives of suspects and victims and journalists will be allowed.

A previous request to keep the matter in the barracks of Suffisant could not be accepted by the Defense Department, the press release said. Reason for this is that during the process, there won’t be enough defense personnel present and because of the holiday at the Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands cannot make more security personnel available to assist in this court process, according to the press release.
