Former Minister of Justice: “Pretu is not my family”

wilsoeWILLEMSTAD – Former Minister of Justice, Elmer Wilsoe regrets that his name and that of his family are linked with the murder of the politician, Helmin Wiels. “My conscience is clean,” Wilsoe said Tuesday morning.

Wilsoe was mentioned today in an article published in the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf as the uncle of the main suspect in the murder of the former political leader of the Pueblo Soberano (PS). According to the newspaper, the 26 year old “Pretu” who which was transferred yesterday from the Netherlands to Curacao is Wilsoe’s nephew.

“I called all my brothers and sisters asking them if they had a son nicknamed “Pretu”. They all said that he’s not related to us, he’s not family,” the former Minister of Justice affirmed. Wilsoe also denied any association with the murder and said that the allegations in the media are very difficult for the whole family. According to Wiels’ partner, Wilsoe had a meeting with him on the day he was murdered.
