Initiative of OM and Ministry of Justice: Project to increase knowledge social network

OM4WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution (OM) Curaçao and the Ministry of Justice have joined hands in the context of ‘union ta hasi forsa’ or together we are strong. For example, a number of sessions were organized with organizations active in the field of counseling and education, police officers and specific community police officers with the task accent on youth. It concerns an activity within the framework to get acquainted with authorities in the judicial chain, so-called "Ban Sera Konosi".

During the sessions, representatives of different agencies will give presentations about the work that their services offer. This with the aim of giving police officers and community agents working with young people more 'tools' and then being able to know which organization they can contact if they encounter problems or have questions that need to be answered.

Every month topics and themes are discussed such as Guidance, Young people in trouble, Education for 0-4-year-olds, Movement, Sports and Action.

Tuesday, June 26, 2018, was the "kick-off" with the theme "young people in trouble". Representatives of the Child Protection Foundation were present and gave a presentation about the work that the foundation has developed.
