Monica Bergonje really wants to be free

judge-hammer1-courtWILLEMSTAD – One of the suspects in the murder case of the late political leader, Helmin Wiels, Monica Bergonje wants to be free from the terms set in her recent release from custody. Her provisional detention was suspended, but according to the Public Prosecution (OM), she was released under strict conditions.

The 43-year-old woman is still seen as a suspect of involvement in the murder of Helmin Wiels. Monica Bergonje must report when the OM demands this and she is not allowed to commit any crimes. If she doesn’t comply with these conditions, than she must return to prison immediately.

A magistrate will decide on Friday October 4, if her request is being honored or not.
