Prison sentence for stealing bank cards
WILLEMSTAD - A 28-year-old man, known to the police, was convicted on Friday for stealing bank cards. He managed to get 400 guilders out of the ATM, but there was no more money.
The owner of the card discovered the theft and warned the police. The officers were able to arrest the perpetrator by using the camera images of the Maduro & Curiel’s Bank (MCB). He said he was helping his friend with the ATM code because he did not know who it works.
The prosecutor was not able to prove the bank card theft. They were able to prove the money theft. Now the convicted must repay the victim and will also spend six months in prison.
