Raul Alexander extradited to the U.S.

DEA_extraditionWILLEMSTAD - Curaçao delivered the man Raul Alexander (September 25, 1962, Dominican Republic) to the United States on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Alexander has been transferred to the US Marshalls of the United States by officials of the Organized Crime Division (DGC) at Hato Airport in Curaçao.

Under the guidance of the Marshalls, he left for Boston, Massachusetts.

The Common Court of Justice gave a positive opinion on the extradition request of the United States on March 15, 2016. The Governor of Curaçao subsequently approved the extradition on April 25, 2017.

Alexander is suspected by the United States authorities to be part of a drug organization that smuggles cocaine to the US. His co-accused A.D.R.-J. was already extradited on November 22, 2016.

Alexander was arrested in December 2015 with co-accused A.D.R.-J on the grounds of a warrant for extradition to the United States by the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
