Schotte’s lawyer wants the immediate release of his client

SulvaranWILLEMSTAD – The lawyer representing the embattled former Prime Minister has filed a request with the court of justice for the immediate release of his client. Schotte’s detention was extended last Thursday with 8 days.

The court will hear Schotte’s lawyer, Eldon ‘Peppie’ Sulvaran today. The request had to be filed before today since the court will be on recess on Thursday and Friday. Sulvaran did not say on what grounds he wants his client to be released.

Schotte and his partner, Cicely van der Dijs were arrested last Tuesday on suspicion of forgery and money laundering. Van der Dijs was released two days later, but remains a suspect in the case of Babel.
