105 PAWA Dominicana passengers manage to leave the Dominican Republic to different destinations

PAWASANTO DOMINGO - At least 105 passengers from PAWA Dominicana were able to leave today from Las Americas International Airport in the Dominican Republic to Cuaraçao and other destinations, in a plane leased by the Dominican government. While employees of that company ask for an explanation about their employment.

Employees of PAWA Dominicana asked the company to explain what their employment situation will be and to the Ministry of Labor to take matters into their hands in order to guarantee their acquired rights.

In a press conference at the CNTU the workers said they were worried about the suspension that PAWA Dominicana is going through since they do not know what will happen to them.

In this regard, the vice president of the CNTU, Ignacio Hernández said that the authorities should prevent PAWA from taking the aircraft from the country. These planes can ensure the employment benefits of 490 employees.
