Artworks stolen

‘Rei-di-Shelu’-kunstenaar-Giovanni-Abath-WILLEMSTAD - In the night of September 21 to 22, two works of art were stolen at Landhuis Bloemhof. It concerns the work 'Rei di Shelu' (see photo) by artist Giovanni Abath and the work 'Eye see I' by Giovani Zanolino. Together, both artists have an exhibition at Landhuis Bloemhof.

The artwork of Abath is a bird of stainless steel on wood with dimensions of 70 cm by 70 cm by 30 cm and hung on the wall outside. The artwork of Zanolino is a print of an eye on a mirror in an oval golden frame with the dimensions of 43 cm by 53 cm. This artwork hung in the front gallery.

"We strongly hope that these works of art will reappear. And that they are not damaged or become damaged. Those who are offered these works of art must know that they have been stolen and that the artists have put their souls and time into making them without receiving a penny for them. And it is doubly acidic, especially because these young artists are working hard for Curaçao," says a representative of the Landhuis Bloemhof.
