‘Asylum for Venezuelans must be Kingdom affairs’

IPKO1THE HAGUE - The care of Venezuelans in Curaçao must become a Kingdom affair. That is the conclusion drawn during the tripartite meeting between the parliaments of Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten.

According to Giselle Mc William MP, the various government representatives will address this during the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation, the IPKO.

Mc William does not understand that money goes to a country like Colombia while small islands like Curaçao get nothing for the asylum of refugees from Venezuelans. According to Mc William, the Netherlands does not realize that Curaçao is the backyard of the Netherlands and this problem therefore has consequences for the entire Kingdom.
