Banks keep information hidden

WILLEMSTAD – Commercial banks in Curacao keep important details hidden from the Dutch tax authorities. This was concluded  by the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament. Especially Dutch taxpayers who hide their capital via Curaçao, are being protected by these banks.

By unclear regulations in this area, the tax authorities in the Netherlands cannot force banks to submit their data. In 2010, the regulations made sure that only six of the 158 requests for the provision of information were answered.
