Climate Curacao affected by global warming

The SunWILLEMSTAD - Curaçao is suffering from the greenhouse effect. The island has suffered from extremely hot weather in the last decade and has had next to drought also above normal rainfall. So says the Meteorological Service.

In September 1996, the highest temperature of 38.8 degrees was measured. At two specific moments extraordinary rainfall was measured. In November 2004, 81 millimeters of rainfall were measured in one day and in November 2010, during the passing of Tropical Storm Tomas, 107 millimeters.
