Companies are fighting government decision solar energy

Panels[13]WILLEMSTAD - Dutch Durables, Dynaf Caribbean and Watts Up Energy join forces to challenge the new tariff guidelines for solar energy. Through a letter they indicate to have objections against the decision. The organizations are jointly preparing a case to counteract the changes.

On November 25, the government announced that solar panel users have to pay taxes for their panels starting January 1 of next year. Also, the reprocessed electricity provides less in the compulsory sale to the utility company Aqualectra.

“The starting point for the collaboration is to protect the interests of all existing and future customers. They have been promised investment propositions, which made them decide to invest in solar energy for their homes or businesses. Because of the changes in policy, it will mean an unacceptable increase of the payback time,” said the organizations.
