Departure Hall now a lot cooler

SONY DSCWILLEMSTAD - Departing travelers can check in now at the Hato airport in a cooler departure hall.

After more than three months, the work has finally been completed. The departure hall has now been now extended and provided with air conditioning.

Minister of Economic Development Stanley Palm performed the reopening of the departure hall.

According to the CEO of the Curacao Airport Partner, Mr. Ralph Blanchard, The Check-In Hall is the first part of a 2 phase project that will also include the installing of air conditioners in the Security Processing Area at the top of the stairs. This will provide an increased level of comfort throughout the Check-In and Security process.

Blanchard also indicated that the Check-In Hall, where will also be further improved over the next few months. The floor will be changed to a style more in line with the floor that you see in the new Check-In area. “We are in the final stages of deciding what type of floor will be installed. There will be changes to the colors and general ‘look” of the area. We believe that these enhancements will add tremendously, and qualitatively, to the customer service experience here at the Curacao airport,” Blanchard stated.
