ENNIA Drapes Its Headquarters As “Thank You” For 65th Anniversary

2013-0519-cw-Ralph-Palm-ENNIA-webWILLEMSTAD -- To celebrate feeling secure since the insurance company first started 65 years ago, ENNIA will send a spectacular visual “thank you” to its customers and partners through draping its headquarters in Curaçao with banners in its signature colour green.

ENNIA started on 20 May 1948 as a branch office of the Dutch company EN/NEN located in the heart of the island’s capital, but quickly transformed into a truly local insurance company with offices in Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten. Throughout its existence ENNIA has always stayed at the forefront of development in the field of insurance, such as introducing Curaçao Road Services (CRS) to increase driver safety and facilitate claims handling. Today, ENNIA is taking the first steps to tap into the social media tools and online platforms to deliver the state-of-the-art customer experience being demanded locally. “Just a few years ago no one had ever heard of Twitter, Facebook had less than a million users and mobile Internet was a thing of the future.

The world in which we operate has changed significantly over the last few years. People today prefer online platforms to become more familiar with companies and get their latest updates from social media. This is true internationally, but also on Curaçao, Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten people are following brands through online media. We think that is great. Fast, easy and accessible everywhere should be our new motto,” Ralph Palm, president of ENNIA Caribe Holding N.V., says. “Internet 2.0 allows us to engage directly with our customers. In crisis situations we can act fast, provide reliable information and give our customers the support they need. Through online platforms we can also offer our target audience the latest products at great prices. It’s an ambitious project that will take some time to complete.”

According to Palm, ENNIA is a household name today thanks to the dedication of its employees and the visionary leadership of its management teams and shareholders of the past 65 years. “We have many activities planned for this year to celebrate this incredible milestone,” Palm adds. “We cordially invite all our clients to come by our offices on 20 May 2013 for a small celebration.” In addition to this festive event, ENNIA will publish a commemorative book and every three months ENNIA’s clients have the chance to win an amount of ANG 25.000,- cash. ENNIA also plans to donate to several charities. “We would like to invest in our communities with the same confidence that our clients entrust us with their future and security by purchasing our insurance products,” Palm says.
Palm is confident that ENNIA will be around for many more years. “We work hard every day to continue improving our products and services. We hope to meet our customers’ needs and exceed their expectations for at least another 65 years,” he says.
