FKP initiates first phase new neighborhood Wechi

WechiWILLEMSTAD - Fundashon Kas Popular (FKP) (Social Housing Foundation) launched the development of Phase 1 of the housing development in Wechi. "With a waiting list of approximately 6200 registered house seekers is the urgency for this new neighborhood very large," says FKP director Arthur Con.

The master plan for the neighborhood Wechi was developed in collaboration with architects Cees van de Sande and Zarya Royer (ProGaya). In total there will be 4.000 homes constructed in this area. Construction will start in 2014. The first phase will have 100 free standing houses, 150 duplex houses, 330 apartments, 90 row houses from 1 to 2 levels, 60 bungalows and 10 commercial buildings, which can be used as office units or stores. There new neighborhood will also have a recreational area, schools and lots of green.
