Girobank: ‘DAE does not have 23 million dollars in Venezuela’

Giro BankWILLEMSTAD – According to the Dutch news site ‘Persbureau Curacao’, the local airline Dutch Antilles Express (DAE) does not have 23 million dollars in Bolivares (Venezuelan currency) stuck in Venezuela. Persbureau states that they have received this information from Girobank.

According to this bank, DAE has spent that money long time ago in running its businesses in Venezuela. This money was used for fuel and other matters to the company. The Girobank responded to reports that they claim some of this money right after the airline was declared bankrupt on Friday August 30, 2013. According to the bank there is nothing more to divide.
