Observational Epidemiological Study on Blood Pressure Anomalies taken at The Danki G Festival 2013 in Curacao

Untitled-1The purpose of this quantitative descriptive research study was to observe any frequency in Blood Pressure Anomalies (BPA) amongst the attendees at the Danki G Festival sponsored by the Givingism Foundation in Willemstad, Curacao; on Sunday; May 5th 2013 between the hours of 10am to 4pm. Persons attending the event whom wished to have their Arterial Blood Pressure (ABP) measured were seen amongst 2 attending groups between three 2 hour shifts; and the result from all those seen by Attending Group A; Charles Coakley Jr. et al, where recorded whilst maintaining the anonymity and privacy of the participants.  It was observed that 35.06% of those attended showed relative signs of Isolated Systolic Hypertension (ISHPR), 10.39% of those attended showed relative signs of Isolated Diastolic Hypertension (IDHPR), 9.09% demonstrated indications of Isolated Diastolic Hypotension (IDHPO), whilst 6.49% demonstrated indications of Isolated Systolic Hypotension (ISHPO), furthermore; 68.83% of the readings typified a Pulse Pressure (PP) of 42 or greater, whereas 20.78% typified a PP of 38 or less; however; only 1 out of every 72 persons attended had a PP to Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP) of 25% or less in a populous of 3.5:1; Female : Male Ratio. Therefore; 3 out of every 5 persons that decided to have their ABP measured at the Danki G Festival on Sunday May 5th 2013; were in fact experiencing some type of BPA.
