Over 41 million for medical treatments abroad

svb buildingWILLEMSTAD - The Social Insurance Bank (SVB) has issued more than 41 million guilders for medical treatments abroad in 2016. That is 8 million guilders more compared to 2015. This is based on the financial report presented by the SVB.

In 2016, the SVB had spent more than half billion guilders on health care costs. 150 thousand of the 160 thousand residents of Curaçao are insured at the SVB, the rest have private insurances. Most of them are ensured at ENNIA or The Guardian Group or are uninsured.
