Sambil: ‘70 percent of properties already rented’

SambilWILLEMSTAD - Sambil, the largest shopping center of the island, opens its doors on  April 3next year. This is according to the Venezuelan investor Freddy Cohen. This week he gave MFK leader Gerrit Schotte a tour around the center which is currently under construction. Construction started during his term as Prime Minister of Curacao. Schotte campaigned extensively using Sambil as one of his successes during his term. He also promised 2000 jobs when the shopping center opens.

According to Cohen, 70 percent of the stores are already leased to local businesses.
