Second group youngsters started with preparations for work in construction new hospital

New hospitalWILLEMSTAD - Through the Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW), Training & Advice Bureau ETICA have started this week with the assessments of young people who are prepared to work in the construction of the new hospital in Otrobanda.

A first group of young people was already employed in June 2014 through the Ministry SOAW in the dismantling and demolition of the south wing of the Colon Shopping center. The second group has started with the assessment last week. This assessment discusses in detail their motivation and work ethics, but also knowledge and skills already gained earlier.

These youngsters were also part of a role play, which is part of the assessment, to mimic the real work situation. In December, they will follow an intensive program of social skills, and safety training and further professional training will be provided by Knowledge for Vocational Curaçao (KBB).
