Situation at Aqualectra discussed in a tripartite

AqualectraWILLEMSTAD – The situation at Aqualectra was discussed in a tripartite meeting between the government, unions and the company’s management. The parties opted to keep silence about the results of their meeting. They did sign a protocol, which opens the way for the government’s mediator to assist in the process to come to an agreement between Aqualectra’s management and the unions, which represent the company’s employees.

The problems at Aqualectra are serious and the social partners have seen the necessity to call all stakeholders together to try to find a durable solution to the impasse between the utility company and the employees.

According to the management, the utility company is in a serious financial situation, but the employees don’t want to give in to help save the company.
