Specialized divers are training in Curaçao waters
WILLEMSTAD - Navy divers from the Defense Dive Group (DDG) are currently active in the Caribbean.
One of the areas the divers have been working on is the Spanish Water in Curaçao where together with the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), Towing Company Curaçao (KvK) and Sea Services and under the guidance of the Harbour Master they are removing the sunken vessel Bounty.
The specialized divers are dismantling the ship so that it can be lifted.
Mr. Rob Lendering also provided his mini excavator to assist with the operation. The pics below show the ongoing preparations in the Spanish Waters. It will take approximately 2 weeks to complete the job.
