Strong Seatrade showing for Curaçao

Seatrade_CPAWILLEMSTAD - For more than a decade, Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) has been continuously participating at the Seatrade Cruise Global conference to promote the cruise industry on Curaçao.

Seatrade Cruise Global has been the leading international exhibition and conference serving the cruise industry by bringing together buyers and suppliers for a week of networking, sourcing, innovation, and education. Seatrade Cruise Global 2018 welcomed over 11,000 cruise professionals. During the 2018 Expo in Fort Lauderdale, Curaçao participated with a range of stakeholders, including CPA, CTB, Curaçao Chamber of Commerce, Funbini, SEL Maduro, Dijk Transport, Fiesta Tours and Curaçao Seaquarium Group, Curoil and Atlantis.

The cruise industry continues to experience global growth and a common trend remains a shift to larger vessels. The reception of Curacao was positive especially considering the completed Oasis Class capable Mega Pier Tula that offers significant benefits and flexibility with regard to volumes and scheduling for the cruise lines. The results are already apparent, Curacao expects to attract a record number of around 700.000 cruise passengers in 2018. In order to maintain the excellent experience that visitors have come to enjoy on the island regarding the services, tours and attractions CPA continues with the next development phase of the cruise terminal facilities to ensure an optimal and pleasant visitor experience.
