‘Studying in the region’; in Canada

Bishop UniversityWILLEMSTAD - Curacao students can now study in Canada with a loan from the local Student Loan Foundation (SSC). To this end, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bishop's University in the Canadian city of Quebec.

Despite the long flight time to Canada, according to Minister Marilyn Alcalá-Wallé, the university falls under 'studying in the region'.

In a press release, the government indicated that they negotiated with Bishop’s University and they will continue to do so through the MoU to offer the local students a more economic and beneficial option to study in the region. The Canadian university offers the student various studies in business, education, art and science.

Canada’s universities are owned by the state; they offer high-quality education and are recognized worldwide.
