Supermarket hides expiration date with tipp-ex

A customer saw that the expiration date was hidden ​​with tippex. After the correction fluid was scratched off it revealed the date August 15, 2013. After examination by the association it showed that more expired meat was being sold at the supermarket at Caracasbaaiweg.

The Consumers Association contacted the Department of Public Health, which then removed all expired meat from the supermarket. According to the Commodities Ordinance, the sale of expired products is punishable. The seller can be fined or at worst spend some time behind bars.
