The Princess Amalia Bridge inaugurated
WILLEMSTAD – Yesterday was the official inauguration of the Princess Amalia Bridge. A bridge that was constructed especially for those who on a daily basis need to travel between Scharloo and Punda.
The spokesperson of the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), Milaika Capella opened the official ceremony by indicating that this bridge makes the city center of Willemstad very exceptional. In less than one square kilometers there are now five bridges.
The official inauguration was performed by Her Excellency the Governor of Curaçao Mrs. Lucille George-Wout together with the Minister of Traffic, Transport, and Spatial Planning Suzanne Camelia-Römer and the Minister of Economic Development, who is in charge of the CPA, Eugene Rhuggenaath.
Princess Amalia is the oldest daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. She is the heiress to the Dutch throne.
