Tula the Revolt opens film festival in the U.S.

TulaWILLEMSTAD - The feature film "Tula the Revolt" opens the San Diego Black Film Festival on January 30. The festival is one of the biggest festivals in which African-American films and film stories from African history are shown and discussed.

25 thousand festival visitors are expected, including actor Danny Glover and the protagonist Obi Abili.


In addition to the opening of the festival, Tula the Revolt has already received recognition from another angle. It was awarded the jury prize at the major London Film Awards and the film won the award for the best Caribbean film produced by an international filmmaker at the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival.
