Van den Tweel sells supermarkets Curaçao, Bonaire, Aruba

van-den-tweelWILLEMSTAD - Despite earlier denials, the Dutch entrepreneur and supermarket owner Gerard van den Tweel now sells his supermarkets in Curaçao, Bonaire and Aruba. This became apparent from a letter sent by Van den Tweel himself to the employees of the supermarkets on May 3.

There is not much known about the new owner, who Van den Tweel said is called Azan. The only information known about his is that he is also an entrepreneur and has the necessary experience in the industry.

Incidentally, Van den Tweel will still be involved in the supermarkets on the islands for the next four years. He also says that the current appearance of the supermarkets will be maintained. "The next four years I will stay involved in the business and I will see you by regularly visiting the islands", says Van den Tweel in his memo to the employees.

For the employees there is not much change in the first instance; the supermarket boss says in his letter to the employees that the conditions of employment for the employees will not change.
