Venezuelans abroad exercise their right to vote

WILLEMSTAD - 100,495 Venezuelans living abroad are entitled to exercise their voting rights in 88 countries and so choose the ruler of Venezuela in the next six years. Australia, Spain, Japan, Italy and London have begun election day early and the process has taken place normally.

Only those who have prove of residence or any other identification denoting residence may vote outside Venezuela. Also, officers and officials assigned to diplomatic or consular representatives can vote.

In voting acts outside the borders of Venezuela, the system used to vote is only manual, by determined by the National Electoral Council.

Here in Curacao, Venezuelans are able to vote at the Venezuelan Consulate in Scharloo.
