Voting cards can still be picked up at Registrar’s Office

P1080012WILLEMSTAD - For today's elections, over 1800 people have not received a voting card. The Supreme Electoral Council (SEC) indicated this morning during their first press conference that 1800 cards were not delivered to the address. Chairman of the SEC, Pacheco Römer said that this number is the lowest ever. This means that there is progress in the process of updating the address registry of the island. Last year it was 2200 people who did not receive their voting card.

This, of course, does not mean that those people cannot vote. They still have the opportunity to pick up their voting card at the Registrar’s Office in downtown Otrabanda. This can be done until 6 pm. If the person is unable to do this, a duplicate of his or her card can be issued at the polling station.
