Zembla crew back in the Netherlands

Oil refineryWILLEMSTAD – The crew of the television news program Zembla is back in the Netherlands. They were in Curacao for the filming of a documentary. Subject of this documentary was the contamination of the Oil Refinery. They did their filming but weren’t able to speak with all stakeholders.

Main issue in the program is the question why the Netherlands is not doing anything to end the pollution. On two occasions the management of the Refinery did not show up and the television crew was not allowed on the premises . Also, they did not get any cooperation from the Roman Catholic Central School Board (RKSB). They had to film at the Maria Immaculata Lyceum (MIL) without the RKSB consent. The MIL must frequently closed its doors because of air pollution. It’s adjacent to the refinery premises.

The documentary will be broadcasted on March 21, 2013 at a quarter past nine, Dutch time on Netherlands 2 channel.
