Minister Francisca: “Pueblo Soberano must speak the truth!”

Jean Marie FranciscaWILLEMSTAD – Jean-Marie Francisca, Minister of Labor, Social Development and Welfare declared, one day after a motion of no confidence against her was approved by a majority in Parliament, that the least the faction representing her party Pueblo Soberano (PS) can do is tell the truth.

The Minister admits that there is a serious crisis within her Ministry, but that is not a reason to pass a motion of no confidence against her. She also admits that her relationship with the management team is a bit rocky, but that she is working to fix this. The Minister is convinced that there is a conspiracy against her.

She believes that the PS faction in Parliament should start by telling the truth and this is why she will fight her case till the end. The fight is for all the women in the society, because she believes that women in high position such as hers deserve respect.

“I heard the leader of the PS faction in Parliament, Mr. Melvin ‘Mac’ Cijntje say that they tried to communicate with me, but that’s another lie. Before I left for the ILO conference, there was no attempt to talk to me about resigning. In a following meeting, the leaders of the party were so disrespectful to me. That is why I ask, what’s behind all this,” the Minister said.

The Minister believes that the people deserve to know why she had to resign. She also said that she doesn’t believe that it’s because of her problems with the management team of her Ministry. There are other reasons, but, according to her, it’s up to the PS faction to share that with the people.
