Code of conduct for ministers and officials

Ettienne-van-der-HorstWILLEMSTAD – A project to promote integrity, which was started in 2007, came to a halt since the political structure of the island changed on October 10, 2010. This is the date when the Netherlands Antilles ceased to exist and the Island Territory of Curacao became Country Curacao, which is an autonomous nation within the Dutch Kingdom.

The integrity project was aimed at all Government officials, from the Ministers down to all clerks. Minister Etienne van der Horst of Management, Planning and Services, has picked up the project again which should lead to a general code of conduct for civil servants, ministers and members of Parliament.

The code is being developed in collaboration with the municipality of Amsterdam.
