Contrary to her declarations, Marvelyne Wiels did ask Council of Ministers for approval new employees

Marvelyne WielsWILLEMSTAD - Minister Plenipotentiary Marvelyne Wiels asked the Council of Minister in Willemstad for a retroactive approval of the appointment of four employees at the Curacao House in The Hague.

At the press conference, following her resume problems, Wiels kept insisting that a journalist had lied about the people who would be employed at the Curacao representation in the Netherlands.These include the son of former Justice Minister Elmer Wilsoe and the daughter of Wiels herself. The Ministry of Finance gave a negative advice on this issue.

These four appointments are:

  • A recruitment consultant;
  • A financial administrative assistant;
  • An administrative assistant;
  • and a policy advisor for the Minister Plenipotentiary.
