Decision CTDF on settlement Kabbara sent to Minister Palm

Ghatim KabbaraWILLEMSTAD – The Supervisory Board (SB) of the Curaçao Tourism Development Foundation (CTDF) discussed the settlement between the director of the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), Ghatim Kabbara and the CTDF. The Supervisory Board has looked at what the costs will be for the CTB to dismiss Kabbara and has forwarded its decision to Stanley Palm, Minister of Economic Development and Tourism. Palm must then meet with Kabbara to reach an agreement.

"We have met again to discuss the settlement with the CTB Director in response to a request from the Minister,” according to the CTDF chairman, Zeno Circkens. How long Kabbara has to agree or disagree with the proposal is not yet clear. “That depends on Minister Palm, he’s the one to decide how much time he wants to give to Kabbara,” Circkens indicated.

Last week Minister Palm requested from CTDF to make one last attempt at proposing a settlement between CTB and Kabbara. The supervisory board has suspended Kabbara since early July of this year.
