Dutch Parliament questions homophobic behavior Curacao Government

Dutch ParliamentTHE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD -  The Dutch Parliament questioned Minister Ronald Plasterk of Kingdom Relations regarding the opposition of the Curacao Government towards the Gay Pride event, which was suppose to be held last week at the Wilhelmina park. At the last moment, the Government decided to add more requirements to hold the manifestation in a public area.

Therefore the event did not go through at the Wilhelmina Park. The Dutch Parliament wants Minister Plasterk to make clear to the Government of Curaçao that the rights of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people should be fully respected.
