Evaluation CommitteeWILLEMSTAD - On 8 November the evaluation committee of the Dutch Financial Supervision Act paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout.

In accordance with Article 33, seventh paragraph of the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (RFT), an evaluation committee has been appointed consisting of members of Curaçao, the Netherlands and Sint Maarten. This committee is charged with evaluating the Kingdom Act on Financial Supervision Curaçao and Sint Maarten and started on 1 October this year with its activities.

The committee examines the question of whether Curacao and Sint Maarten structurally comply with RFT standards and whether the financial supervision of one or both countries can be wholly or partially terminated. In the week of 29 October 2018, the evaluation committee started its discussions with stakeholders in the three countries. The talks started in the Netherlands and ended last week in Curaçao.
