Glenn Camelia designated to form a Government

WILLEMSTAD - Board Member of the Order of Lawyers and former Member of Parliament Glenn Camelia was designated by Pueblo Soberano leader Helmin Wiels as formateur.

Wiels announced this news a few weeks ago. Glenn Camelia will start working to form a  government with the broadest possible support of the new parliament which will take seat on November 2.

Glenn Camelia is a lawyer since 1989. From 1998 to 1992, as a lawyer, he was in charge of the legal right of the Central Office of Legal Affairs of the Netherlands Antilles.

He was then director of the SER office and general secretary of the Economic and Social Council from 1992 to 2006. In the same period he was also chairman of the Central Organized Consultation Civil Service (CCGOA).

From 2006 to 2010 he was member of parliament of the Netherlands Antilles. From 2002 to 2004 he has been chairman of the association of Directors and Department Heads in government.

He is currently a board member of the Bar Association (Treasurer). He is a Commissioner with the Central Bank of Curacao and St. Maarten (CBCS).

He is also Chairman of the Board established by Royal Decree for Law Enforcement.
