Hodge will not comment on Public Prosecutor’s civil survey

Daniel HodgeWILLEMSTAD – Prime Minister of Curacao, Daniel Hodge, does not respond publicly to the Public Prosecutor’s request to hold a civil survey into financial mismanagement at the public companies Aqualectra, Curgas, Curoil and the Curacao Refinery (RdK).

Former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte will also be hear during these investigations. As a Prime Minister and Minister of General Affairs, he was the representative of the shareholder of these companies, he was also responsible for the policy.

“I wonder how it will end. But at this time as Prime Minister, I have no opinion, I have no comment," the Prime Minister said during the weekly press conference of the Council of Ministers. Hodge emphasized that the separation of executive, legislative and judicial powers in society, called the Trias Politica, withholds him from commenting on this case.
