Integrity Office focuses on prevention and enforcement

KonketWILLEMSTAD - The legislation for an integrity bureau has been completed and is being sent to the Advisory Council. If everything goes according to plan, adjustments can be made at the end of October in order to offer it to parliament.

Minister of Policy, Planning and Service Armin Konket hopes that the integrity agency will be dealt with in parliament in November or December, so that it can start on January 1, 2019.

A committee of the Court of Audit, the Ombudsman and the Public Prosecution will make a binding nomination for a director to the Minister after an application round. This will further shape the office. The application procedure is now in progress.
