Jardim: “Keep a sound financial policy”

Minister Jose JardimWILLEMSTAD - "We have observed that the financial situation remains within the parameters of what we expected from recent reports from credit agencies and the Financial Supervisory Board." This is according to the Finance Minister Jose Jardim during the recent press conference of the Council of Ministers.

He said this when asked about the financial situation of our country.


Jardim went on to say that there have been some setbacks in the implementation of measures, but generally he expects this year will pick up and the forecast is that the country’s finances will continue to be in a safe zone.

Hunger strike

On the question of whether we should expect a hunger strike, referring to the action of Prime Minister Mike Eman of Aruba following the instructions imposed by the Kingdom Council of Ministers, Jardim replied: “Our current government is doing everything to keep a sound financial policy.”
