The protest at the Wilhelmina Square was directed against the tax reform plan of the government-Asjes, which was on the agenda of a Central Committee meeting of parliament this morning.

The MFK opposes the announced reforms. The opposition sees this as yet another measure of the government that will cost the society more money. No Mas! It has now been enough, said Schotte this morning. The MFK leader believes that the government should go home because it has not been able to solve the problems of the island on social, economic, judicial and financial levels.

The opposition party had deployed two buses this morning from Sta. Maria and its own party building in Salina to take supporters dressed in white No Mas T-shirts, to Wilhelminaplein. There Schotte spoke, where he called the attendees to oppose the plans of the government.

Among those present were many acquaintances who often show up at demonstrations against the current government or against the judiciary of Curaçao.
