Maybe dentist and glasses back into basic insurance

Dr. WhitemanWILLEMSTAD – A committee is currently studying the possibility to include dentistry and the purchase of glasses back into the basic health insurance. This is according to Minister of Health, Ben Whiteman during a briefing to pensioners of the union ABVO recently.

The Board of ABVO-retirees, Kopida, calls for compensation for dental treatments and costs for new glasses. Chairman of Kopida, Thode said to be happy with the establishment of the committee. Minister Whiteman also announced that he will organize a committee which should consider a replenishment of the fund for health insurance. In addition, a working group is studying a new law for health insurance. Kopida will organize a meeting next week for its retirees. Representatives of the SVB will also be present to provide information.
