Minister wants another week for arrangement with CTB Director

Stanley Palm1WILLEMSTAD — In a last attempt to realize an arrangement between the director of the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) and Curaçao Tourism Development Foundation (CTDF), Minister Stanley Lamp of Economic Development and Tourism wants more time for both parties to come to an agreement.

Minister Palm indicated this on being asked after discussing the dismissal intention of the director in the Council of Ministers. “After the discussion with the Council of Ministers this week, I contacted Mr. Kabbara and met with him in the afternoon. I believe a last attempt must be made for an arrangement. The negotiations with Mr. Kabbara have been going on for two months now, so I don’t think one more week will be a problem. It would make a big difference though if we could make an arrangement. At my request there’ll be a meeting with the board of directors of CTDF to discuss the latest state of affairs.” The minister believes that a normal dismissal procedure will involve many more negative effects for both the tourist bureau and the director, Kabbara.
