New government slowly taking shape – Ivar Asjes presumably new Prime Minister

Ivar AsjesWILLEMSTAD – It looks like the new Government is slowly but surely taking shape. This is according to the leader of the political party Pueblo Soberano, Helmin Wiels. Wiels said that some of the outgoing Ministers in the Transitional Government will return in the new political Government. Which PS Ministers will stay is not yet known.

The Ministers who will stay will have to go through the screening process again, as stated in the screening law. If they don’t go through this process then they can’t take place in the new Government. Informed sources believe that the Minister of Health and Environment, Ben Whiteman and the current Minister of Education, Rubia Bitorina, will return in the new cabinet. According to the same sources, this is not the case for Prime Minister Daniel Hodge and Sherwin Osepa of Social Development.

Osepa, according to sources will be replaced by Jaime Cordoba and Hodge by Ivar Asjes. Humphrey Davelaar of PNP confirms that the current Minister of Transport, Traffic and Urban Planning, Earl Balborda keeps his job in the new cabinet. Independent Member of Parliament, Glenn Sulvaran said that he wishes to keep the Finance Minister, Dr. Jose Jardim. PAIS wants to fill the new Government with a whole new group of Ministers including their leader, Alex Rosaria.
