PAR requests emergency meetings

WILLEMSTAD - The PAR-faction in the Parliament requested two emergency meetings on the Intelligence Service Curaçao (VDC) and the situation regarding free education. The party wants the meetings to be convened within 2 x 24 hours but they most likely will be held in the week of August 20th, being the next meeting week of the Parliament.

According to the PAR, the school year has begun but parents still have many questions about free education, for example, the contribution to be paid for elementary education; the government’s contribution for pupils of the secondary education; the costs for school material; information on school transport, and if parents who already paid tuition or contracted a loan for the school books, will get their money back (with interest)?



As regards the Intelligence Service Curaçao, the yellow party states that the personnel were dismissed three months ago.
