Political party MAN demands its seat from Eugene Cleopa

WILLEMSTAD – Political party MAN has sent a letter to both Eugene Cleopa  and the political party PAIS. MAN is demanding from Mr. Cleopa to return the Parliamentary seat back to the party. After a major disagreement between Cleopa and party leader Charles Cooper, Cleopa resigned from the party but kept his seat in the Parliament. Now he supports political parties PAR (8 seats), PNP (1 seat) and FOL (1 seat) together with former MFK (ruling party) Dean Rozier to file a motion of no confidence in the current government.

The letter states that the Party holds Cleopa personally liable for the chaos within the Curaçao government. According to MAN,  Cleopa used the seat to form part of the "group of 12". "The people are thus brought into uncertainty and the gap between citizens and politics is now bigger," according to the party.
